July 23: French Macaron Hands-On Workshop
French macarons are delightful and unique gluten-free delicacies. Our instructor, Jennifer lived in France for five years where she trained as an olive oil expert and had the opportunity to learn many culinary backgrounds. As a lover of macarons, she was determined to perfect them in her own kitchen, so she enrolled to learn right in the heart of Paris. Staying true to her passion for local, seasonal, and natural, Jennifer’s macarons never contain any dyes, colorings, or flavorings. She uses local butter and eggs, organic sugars, and real fruits to flavor the fillings. Her culinary emphasis is always on quality, wholesome, and flavorful ingredients.
This class is HANDS-ON style, with the following recipes:
French Meringue Macaron Shells
Real Fruit American Buttercream
Students will work in teams to produce the macaron shells and fillings. They will assemble their own macarons and take about one dozen home to enjoy.
